Avira keeps giving false positives for zenno even after I tell it to ignore

I otherwise have liked avira due to it not hogging resources. I otherwise barely know it's there but this one problem is pretty annoying since I use alot of marketing software.

If I tell it to ignore a program and get it to remember it that will only be good for the day and upon reset it will give me the false positive again.

So either how do I turn that off or what would be an equivalent decent (free) AV which doesn't hog resources- important since my comp is quite old.

    1. uninstall Avira
    2. install ESET NOD32
    3. profit

ESET released version 5 a few days ago, it kicks ass

my vote for bitdefender or f-secure but im not sure... i think they share same HEUR engine (Gdata too) ... but no ... even bitdefender nifty emu cant save you unless you have HIPS like any InternetSecurity ... ESET Kaspersky... so get one ... will be boring to use it but really safe.

Avira...Tried to turn it off and find where EXCEPTIONS are stored in registry and add the path to ur program (if registry access isnt hooked) or use Avira GUI to add it but im sure you tried it (maybe protection mate? sometimes bad guys get RDP/VNC connection to you and set their exe to that exception list and the exe is ONLY reported but not removed sometimes... depends)

If you're looking for a free one, try Avast.. Was using Avira before and I'm happier with Avast right now.

I keep an eye on this site for what's "good" every quarter.

Ye I'm going with avast now.

Could tell what you were on about mostly Terminal, you're sentences were that of a drunk man. :D

I was just thinking avast was ok then it gave me a dbl crash when I tried running system scan. Time to try another one out.

I was tired :) but you could just Goolge it anyhow bcoz I bet you have no idea what HIPS is or even less clue how security software "protects" you .
