Just wanted to do quick post about my ongoing "experiment".
I have 1 WP blog site and 1 Automegascript driven site (this script is by symbiotic who is a member here) both are targeting the same niche, and both have very similar domain names with the keyword phrase in them.
Just thought I'd post here a finding of mine :
The WP blog seemed to have gotten indexed a lot faster by g00gle (something like 10 days with not very much content and little SEO done except permanlinks). This is not surprising or unexpected since search engines seem to love WP blogs. The WP blog did have a sitemap plugin and an SEO plugin installed though.
The website that was run with Automegascript did not manage to get indexed by g00gle after 2 weeks or so. What I then tried was to use this sitemap tool to create a sitemap:
Remembering again that both sites are pretty similar and not purposefully search engine optimized.........yet
I followed the instructions on the sitemap generator page and the generated sitemap was then uploaded to my Automegascript website. Shortly (days I think, I wasn't keeping a log or any thing although I should be doing that) after, my AutoMegascript website did get indexed by g00gle
So, if other automegascript users might want to consider trying this or another sitemap generator tool, please do so and share your SEO knowledge and experiences here, ok?
Oh, you can find other generators by searching in g00gle:
Thanks a bunch.
Cheerio
