I'm looking for some software to automate general tasks that I don't need to be doing so that I can speed up the process and get more done.

Can any one recommend any software to do this?

    I have found this

    http://www.tethyssolutions.com/automation-software.htm

Just wondering if anybody has used it or anything like it?

    thanks

Nah, not used that one but look a little overkill.

Really depends what you wanna do. They are plenty of scripts around in the search and folks selling bots for automating specific tasks.

    Good luck...hit the search....like

Squidoo bot or Myspace friend finder..... Or you can use Imacros for Firefox to automate account creation and stuff.

    best

    thanks Rudy,

I'm looking for something that can do a bit more than standard simple tasks such as :

Extracting urls from the web, importing them into excel, then filtering them thru some simple scripts/programs that I use to clean up the list to more accurately get what I need.

SOme of these processes are 10 or 15 steps on my part and it would be nice if I could automate it.

    thanks again

iMacros is great for any web tasks (such as extracting content, repetitive clicking etc...)

Not to sure about computer tasks though ...

Sounds like you need Autoit. Does exactly what your asking but not as GUI friendly as iMacros. Plus iMacro has limitations, if you know just a little about coding you can use Autoit and have your PC make you coffee...ok not coffee but you get the point.
