Hey guys, I'm making a new Blog about cooking as niche, and a friend of mine has got too many food recipes in his home. All of them are unique my idea is this: get an automatic photo scanner, I've seen one cheap made with Arduino, copy articles, get ocx software and rewrite pdf to get unique article.. Is this idea good? Also if there any good auto scanner somewhhere for cheap? and which is the best ocx scanner to get the words into pdf?

Some folks started generating a boatload of content by scanning old books. Since the books were never indexed before, the content was all unique.

Then google got into the book scanning business too and started demoting all books except those in their profitable books.google.com library.

I've got many books to scan at my home and I've never seen that high quality content in google on my books collection. So I could try to open new micro blogs and start rewriting articles?

You could just buy a scanner and post it as image.

And he won't get any benefit from doing this. Google doesn't OCR text like that.

I've seen a DIY scanner on istructables made with arduino. It scans pages and then you just need to edit on your pc and write the articles again, not really hard.

Check the copyright information to make sure you are not breaching the copyright of the books you are copying. Instead of scanning and converting to text, just rewrite them. It will take time to type them up but you will still have to publish the content gradually not at once, so it doesn't matter.

Yeah instead of scanning, I could just read articles and rewrite directly on my pc, so I can be sure to have unique articles.

I've done this, if fact wikipedia links to one of them. However, I reprint the text from an expired volume by a dead writer and credit him for his work. I know there will be no copy write problems with this particular material.
