Hi all, I know there are a lot of autoblog threads, but I figured I'd ask some of my more specific questions here on this thread since I already get the basic concepts.

    1. Do you guys make robots.txt files for these autoblogs? Specifically to block goo*glebot from looking at what you have in your plugins folder? Would big G do something like this you think?

    2. After seeing all of the plugins people are using (YACG, CC, UAW, WP-Drip, Autoblogged, etc) does anyone have any measure of ratios as to how much they use which tool? Or is it completely irrelevant. I seem to rely mostly on CC since the niche is too small for UAW and I wasn't sure if big G would slap me faster for going right after someone elses feed. I didn't play with WP-drip, but I'm going to assume if you use that it would reproduce each post in the feeds you are ripping, but I'm not sure either.

    3. According to Darksorrow's thread it seems like he only had 5 domains, each with 5 subdomains, and would interlink them. That also makes me afraid of big G. Does anyone think that doing it that way is fine, or should i just do 25 .info domains instead across 5 different C IPs?

    4. I always read that the big square is the best converting block for ads*ense, but I have NEVER seen a wp theme with room for that block, only the 4 small squares which are usually used for affiliate links. Can anyone suggest some themes to use with the big square, or do you all just find a theme relating to your niche when you create these blogs. Do you also use a different theme for each blog, or do you just use whatever is convenient?

    5. This one is super important to me. Do you put all these blogs on the same ads*ense account? I mean goo*gle is huge, but they are definitely not dumb and I'm sure they share information between divisions. If you use more than one ads*ense account, how do you do this? In the name of your relatives and whatnot? I know kont*era won't give a shit, but I mean big G needs to make money too, so maybe they won't either.

Ok, I think thats it but I am sure I have more questions. Anyway, I feel like I need to give something for the help. This might not help anyone, but it's useful if you are looking at competition on adwo*rds. Basically save this as a bookmark and it will give you, in a new tab, the true destination URL for all the ads in your google search along with the ad text. Nice if you just want to see your competition and you don't want to keep going to properties or clicking google ads and using live headers.

    Code:
    javascript:x=document.getElementsByTagName(%22A%22);%20y=window.open();%20y.document.write(%22<HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY><table>%22);%20var%20redirect1%20=%20/aclk?/;%20var%20redirect2%20=%20/ct=res&/;%20%20%20for(n=0;n<x.length;n++)%20{%20var%20linktext%20=%20x[n].href;%20var%20matchPos1%20=%20linktext.search(redirect1);%20var%20matchPos2%20=%20linktext.search(redirect2);%20var%20firstocc%20=%20x[n].href.indexOf('&q=');%20var%20startpos%20=%20firstocc%20+%203;%20var%20tbparsed%20=%20x[n].href.substring(startpos);%20var%20endpos%20=%20tbparsed.indexOf('&source');%20var%20theurl%20=%20tbparsed.substring(0,endpos);%20var%20temp1%20=%20unescape(tbparsed);%20var%20tempzzz1%20=%20unescape(theurl);%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20if(matchPos1%20!=%20-1){%20y.document.write(%22<tr><td>%22+x[n].text+%22</td><td>%22+temp1+%22</td></tr>%22);%20}%20%20if(matchPos2%20!=%20-1){%20y.document.write(%22<tr><td>%22+x[n].text+%22</td><td>%22+tempzzz1+%22</td></tr>%22);%20}%20%20}%20y.document.write(%22</table></BODY></HTML>%22);%20y.document.close();void%200;

    Hey FakePlastic,

1.) Just change your plugins folder name. If you wanted to use a robots, googlesitemap maker builds one. Or theres a robots.tx plugin for easier editing.

2.) None of them are perfect, I guess CC scrapes in longer articles.

3.) 5 subs on 5 domains is ok, imho or the 25 .info on 5 diff class c ips is good as well.

4.) Will keep an eye out for you! :)

5.) I personally use 3 adsense accts across my 25 blogs. I'm working on getting a few more accts to minimize earnings on each acct. I wouldn't want to make more than $1,000/month per adsense acct. Just my personal opinion.

I would write more in detail, but I dont have time. Maybe someone else can chime in and elaborate a bit.

    >>

nothing to hide. I actually spend SOME time on my autblogs, we're not talking about linkfarms and cloaking. My autoblogs look good and have good content, no need for cloaking or IP exclusions in robots.txt

    >>
    2. After seeing all of the plugins people are using (YACG, CC, UAW, WP-Drip, Autoblogged, etc) does anyone have any measure of ratios as to how much they use which tool? >>
Google would never slap that sites. Spend a few minutes setting up a good WP blog, some decent template and the plugins. I myself go always back to CC since the RESULT is the best.

    >>
    3. According to Darksorrow's thread it seems like he only had 5 domains, each with 5 subdomains, and would interlink them. That also makes me afraid of big G. Does anyone think that doing it that way is fine, or should i just do 25 .info domains instead across 5 different C IPs?
    >>

I am split in regards to interlinking, google might not like this. Talking about MSN loophole et al. I dont care about interlinking, however i have my blogs on dff. IPs since i use reseller hosting which allows 10 diff locations.

    >>
    4. I always read that the big square is the best converting block for ads*ense, but I have NEVER seen a wp theme with room for that block, only the 4 small squares which are usually used for affiliate links.
    >>

ProSense Theme FTW, check it out.

Another good one is "Flexibilty" which makes REALLY, REALLY kickass good looking blogs. I actually use some blogs for adsense (ProSense theme) and then i signed up on CBProads which puts Clickbank ads on my sites with the flexibilty theme. Dependig on niche.
Eg. for loans and debts i chose Adsense...and for natural remedies i use CB and use contenxtual textads from CBProads and pictures (boxshots etc.). Again, depends on niche.

Furthermore, i DO occasionally enter REAL content, so the content is not ALWAYS pulled w/ CC

    >>
    5. This one is super important to me. Do you put all these blogs on the same ads*ense account? I mean goo*gle is huge, but they are definitely not dumb
    >>

again you imply some illegal actions. there is nothing illegal about those blogs, except that it pulls content of articles base, yahoo, youtube, syndicatekahuna etc..etc..

I can also tell you that you might have troubles recognizing such a blog as "autoblog"...remember, this is not the age of "MFA" adsense sites anymore where a site was nothing than a huge pile of links and SPAM.

    G.

Add: if your autoblog looks so bad and you're afraid of getting banned...look over your blog and ask yourself where and what to tweak. I build blogs which are autoblogs, all right, but i also want visitors to STAY on the blogs. Because i want clicks on ads. I find myself exploring my own blogs because they DO have interesting content, regardless.
If you yourself have doubt about your sites you have a problem. Otherwise NOTHING wrong with mixing content from youtube, article directories, yahoo answers, and for sure no reason to get banned.

    Thanks blackhaze and undergroundguru!

When I start making $1000 a month from adsense I'll worry bout that =P Right now I really only have one website that brings in income (whitehat) and its only $40 a month from affiliate programs. I'm trying out the auto blog farm because nothing else really seems to work for me. I'll definately check out the prosense them too, but it actually looks a little bare. I'm good with graphic design, css, etc, so my websites actually end up looking a bit prettier than that even.

    Wish me luck!

ProSense is "bare", allright, But it goes well with blogs like financial, debt, loans.
I actually had people complementing me on the simplicity of the design.

For niches i use "flexibility" and i signed up at CBProAds, plastering ClickBank ads all over my sites w/ products.

Some sites are good for AdSense, some i prefer Clickbank products.

Good call on flexibility theme! I'll give that one a shot at this first group of websites has nothing to do with finance, debt or loans =P I also don't think CBProAds would work with my niche, but I'm going to bookmark that and keep that in mind for the future as well. Thanks again for all the help!

Do a search for autoblog on here and there are two great posts that cover ALL the plugins in general. See darksorrow's post or nikhilG's post. Or both.

Hello, I just created a new post about autoblogs, you can check it out.
If you are just afraid about IPs, you can try hostgators seo hosting which offers you multiple class c ips for a single account by default.

As for the plugins, It really depends on your niche to decide whether to use one of the free ones or use a paid one. I would recommend CC if your niche is rare. contact me to get it for 30% off.

There are some plugins as descibed in my book that will create robots.txt automatically for you, however if your server is confiured correctly you shouldnt worry about that.

    OPTIONAL:
Auto Social Poster (never used it)
    Feedburner

I havent seen a need for more although i am sure there are some more interesting ones.

I've found that the more monetization sources you can come up with, the more success you will have. I have found a niche that no one seems to be targeting for advertising b/c it would be a very unprofitable niche for adsense or CPA offers, however, there are always other sources.

Try Ko*ntera if you can get approved, it may take a couple of emails, but they have a plugin for WP...

I do not suggest Ko*ntera. I used them for a bit and was making $.005 per click. Switched to adb*rite and now I get around $.15 per click. Only diff is adb*rite is sort of dumb and picks dumb words. Still, I am making more overall.

I dont see the problem of having the same google acocunt on mor than 1 website? As long as you put the privacy policy statement plug in, you should be fine.

There are people here earning 15k a month, what the hell are you afraid with your 1k/month for? Goggle isnt going to bitch slap you unless you tunnel bot traffic through their ads, or if you out their ads as spam into Facebook/myspace websites OR if you modify their ad code.

Its v simple, you are a webmaster, you rent out blogs for people: you are not responcible for their content, but you have a priacy policy statememnt. Google cant ban you for someone elses post, you cant control what anyone else says.

I found that CC doesnt work anymore, because the articlesbase website is down.

I am also using hostgator host but I dont know how to get different C class IP's: secondly I dont know why this is so important?
