So i've heard alot of horror stories about adsense accounts being banned from autoblogs, I wanna know how likely is this to happen.

Ive had a blog i never updated for like a year, that has adsense on it, ivew only ever made like 1 dollar from adsense this whole time, so i was thinking of setting the blog up to be an autoblog since im too lazy to actually post news from other sources myself, but I dont wanna be peanalized from adsense, should i just remove my adsense ads, or is there a specific reason people get banned with autoblogs and is there some protection around it?

Unless you have a lot of posts per day from your autoblog, it's not really a big deal. I'd say if you have 1-5 posts/day you should be fine.

I do a lot of autoblogging, but never use AdSense on them. To me it's too much risk and AdSense is a solid monthly revenue stream that I don't want to lose.

One work-around is to use your auto-blogs as feeder sites for your AdSense site. For example, if you have a regular site about personal finance with AdSense on it, then you could build dozens (or hundreds/thousands/etc.) of auto-blogs related to credit/debt/loans/etc. and on each one use a plugin like What Would Seth Godin Do or similar to link to your main AdSense site at the top of every posting. Use CSS rules on your auto-blog links so that the only obvious links off of your post pages are the links to your AdSense site.

I use that exact setup for funneling traffic from my auto-blogs to my other sites and it works pretty well.

The other thing I do with auto-blogs is use the same sort of setup to put in a signup form for email capturing if I'm building a list in that market, or I'll just promote a related affiliate product there.

Actually, with affiliate product promotions I use the PostPost plugin and that lets you put your ad at the top and bottom of every post. More people click the ads at the top of posts because they're "above the fold", but I've tracked this and the conversion rates for ads at the bottom of posts is much higher. So with postpost you get the best of both worlds.

If you really want to use contextual advertising on your auto-blogs, my advice is use YPN! or AdBrite or something other than AdSense, but it's just my opinion and only based on my own thoughts regarding weighing the risks vs. rewards of putting AdSense on auto-blogs.

You can use adbrite or CPA offers if getting banned from adsense worries you. Just try it for a little while, see the results, and make your decision based of that. Good luck

Better not to use adsense in any of your autoblogs. If you need to then you must rewrite your content that way your account won't be banned.
