    Hey guys,

    I've got a question:

One of the most basic principles of making money is that you need to create a service and produce something that other people want.

So how exactly does autoblogging make money? I doubt the visitors to the site want to see a bunch of rehashed crap. The website the provides the articles on the autoblogging site are actually the ones that people go to.

And, I know this has been asked like a thousand times, but who's made like decent money with this?

    Thanks,
    Chris

Autoblogs are good for adsense, cpa, banners, etc.

It's not about "selling", it's more about "making money per click"

Autoblogs are about automated income via adsense, amazon, ebay, stuff like that. Autoblog users tend to use rewrite plugins or auto translators to make the content unique, and even though it's unreadable it doesn't matter, in fact that could make them click on ads even more to try and find their answer.

So basically it's getting crap visits to a site and hoping that a few of them click ads there.

Not trying to tick off those who own autoblogs, just trying to learn more ;)

for this business model, you have no product or service. you're basically just a 'traffic broker'.

you have people who are willing to pay for traffic (the advertisers), and you use your autoblog to gather traffic and redirect it to them, and you get paid for it.

then the advertisers take their paid traffic and convert it with their own product or service.

Oh ok, I kind of get it now.

But how do you get traffic on there in the first place? People probably wouldn't want to visit an autoblog. They'd want to visit a site that provides human content, like the ones that insert links to the end of each article on the autoblog.

Obviously you dont want people to know its an autoblog, you rank well in the SERPS, people see it and visit, hopefully they then click on something you have to offer on your page that interests them.

Its also a good way to get backlinks if you use a few other plugins.

Some people use twitter, but autobloggs will start ranking for odd terms and get organic traffic, and building backlinks to it will only help.

Your right people probably wouldn't want to visit an autoblog, but like anything automatic, it's for convenience and not really quality. People probably aren't going to find an autoblog useful, but that will make them turn to the ads to try and find what they're looking for.

Autoblogs can generate income from adsense and affiliate stuff. Some niche pays $2/ads click. If you use a high-searched keyword with low competition, you can sell ebooks or other related products.
So as long as you can promote it, and know how to monetize the niche, autoblog is a good way to earn money

I would venture to say 99% or more people surfing the net wouldn't have a clue what a autoblog is in the first place. I'm sure they couldn't care less what type of site it is as long as they find the information they are searching for.

You would be surprised at the amount of organic traffic these blogs get. Would you consider someone arriving to your autoblog on a long-tailed keyword "trash traffic"?

Autoblogs are definitely a numbers game. The fact you can get one up quickly and forget about it (more or less ) makes it a viable way to may some income by creating 50 or so blogs in a short period of time.

now that i think about it, i've come across quite a few autoblogs before i knew anything about what they were. at the time, i just thought they were regular websites just like any other. basically all i care about is whether the page actually has what i'm looking for. i still never would have clicked on an ad though, i'd just go back to the google results

Oh ok, I kind of get it now.

My mistake is that I chose too wide of a niche. (ipads, forex trading, etc)

Haha, maybe I'll at a shot at it in the future...

In the past, I've set up like 3 or so autoblogs that earned me a grand total of.... $0. Lol, most noobs like me probably don't earn shit....

    Thanks for the info, fellas.
