After reading many resources online about importance of page load time for SEO (like this one - not mine site), I decided to try nginx server in front of apache in order to serve cashed pages much much much faster.

    And YES - it's working !
After less then one month I see 30% higher SERP traffic then before.

I took one unmanaged VPS from hetzner and set nginx and moved few of my high visited auto blog... cheaper, faster and more profit then before !

Highly recommended to all autobloggers !

I will add some resources here (not my sites - nothing for sale - just good tutorials for speeding up wordpress):

    No, I don't think so...
on managed hosting they don't want to bother with that stuff.
I have several managed dedi servers with few different companies and they didn't want to set that.

So, u need unmanaged VPS or dedi
and learn to do it or hire someone.

I took VPS with 1GB ram for $15/month
and there are now 6 autoblogs.
3 are high visited and 3 are new.

But I see that I need more CPU power because of these few sites with high traffic.
So, you could host more fresh blogs and when they start getting traffic after few months, move them to dedi.

Hi deki, have you tried using W3 total cache with nginx?

Yes, that is what I'm using.
Nginx is fast with static files, so if you want to use it you need something that will cache dynamic pages from WP.

I was reading this WordPress Cache Plugin Benchmarks
and decided to go with W3 plugin.

    Cheers,
    Nikola
