Autobloggers that use duplicate content - do you receive any SE traffic at all?

It seems impossible considering that there are often times thousands of duplicates floating around the internet. I have a few autoblogs and I am making a little money using twitter to promote my posts. I've noticed that many pages are now being indexed but the chance of receiving traffic seems unlikely. If more experienced autobloggers can chime in, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I have a autoblog, my first and only one thus far. It's also my test one. I've made all the mistakes on it as far as I can tell ...

Interesting: About 70% of my traffic is SE traffic :D
No content rewriting either. I'm also in a highly competitive niche. Hell, it's not even a niche anymore ... more like a cluster-@#$@ of a huge topic. How the hell I did it? No clue... I also now have people linking TO my autoblog ... and also some people pulling from it as well <hehe>.

    Good luck!

yeh the serps make for a nice chunk of the traffic. why not?

i refuse to use a rewrite plugin anymore too; traffic comes either way, but seems to come more and stay slightly longer (bounce rates are still stupid high on most). get about 2.5-3k uniques/mo with little to no promotion. not sure about my older ones....i have misplaced my cpanel login and haven't gotten around to resetting it. =]

My dupe content and unique content all rank about the same currently. But my sites have only been up a month or two... so not sure if it can stand the test of time.

I'd guess the most important thing is the quality of the content, duplicate or not. Duplicate good content wins over unique garbage content.

Just my two bit on this: I think there are points for organizing too. Sample this: If I type some tech related word say flash on iphone. I get endgadget , cnet etc which are quite famous for their techy related posts. But for a person who just wants to know abt flash on iphone and is not so much into all that techy site stuff (other words tech noob) , he might want to have a look at a site dedicated to iphone only. So, he might skip a page or two just to find a relevant site. This even though cnet/endgadget already have some info on that.
    It is just an opinion.

I used to use rewriting plugins. However, I found that many of them made a substantial amount of mistakes. Therefore, my blogs looked unprofessional. I would prefer to have duplicate content than have an unprofessional looking blog. Also, either way, I seemed to get the same amount of traffic.

My autoblog is less than a week old and it is getting SE traffic already. This is a blog on a subdomain.info of all places.

On a side note; this blog has certainly busted a lot of myths I see perpetrated on these forums.

If G decides to remove Dup Cont then half of the internet will vanish. Besides, How will they know what is the original and what is duplicated? I can write some great original content but G does not index it fast enough and someone else copies it and G index. It would be unfair if they consider my content duplicated, wouldn't it?
