    if you wanna hide the plugins can you have both in the plugins folder? create a htaccess file with this code in the plugins folder :

    Code:
    < Directory /wp-content/plugins/> Order deny,allow Deny from all </Directory>
    or

    just put a blank index.php

    or can you do both? Also is there any way of checking that is it working? thnks :eek:

    one other thing, my index.php has the following code in it in my plugin folder, should i delete it to make it blank?

    Code:
    <?php
    // Silence is golden.
    ?>

    Every wordpress installation has that file in the plugins folder. It is there for a reason. No point on making it blank, it is just the same as leaving it as it is

    Don't really know, don't think it will hurt, but there really is no need since if anyone actually goes to your plugin folder all they will see is a completely blank page, no way to see anything else
