Autoblog: Auto-Scrape/Post Content?

Okay Okay Okay! I know there are like 5 threads on Autoblogs on the first page But believe me, I've followed every single one, and checked almost all the plugins, and still have one specific question.

I have setup an autoblog using Caffeinated Content and I just feel like it the plugin isn't doing it for me.. The reason is that it is not COMPLETELY automated, not only do I have to use the scraped multiple times to get a sufficient amount of posts without being ip banned (usually do 50 at a time). But It doesn't have a function of making it post a specific # of posts per day forever. You have to update it and make it re-scrape for posts once the current period is over. I want something that I can setup and forget, I don't want to have to come back a few months later and scrape again.

So the options I can see as of right now are:

WP-o-matic

Unique Article Wizard Plugin
WP Spinner - for spinning content

I cant say I have tried everyone of these, but a majority of them I have, and I'm still not completely convinced. Autoblogged and WP-o-matic both look promising but I haven't fully checked them out. I know they are based on RSS feeds, so it might be hard to control the # of posts. But how do you guys (from experience, not heresay) think RSS Feeds rank in google? As I am of the opinion the dupe content is a myth, so to me it seems that they would rank well. One more questions about these two plugins (AB'd and WP-o-matic), do they post linkbacks to the original writer? Because that would be important to me. Thanks!

Maybe someone who has some successful experience doing this can chime in and suggest which has worked best.

I have tried WP-o-matic sometime back but don't really quite like it.

Problem with it is, if there is no update in the feed, then there won't be any new post in your blog, so your blog depends on how often is the update from other pple RSS. Of course you can get post from multiple RSS feed.

does it only bring posts as the cron job dictates it to? or does it auto-update when people visit? Because if it only follows the cron, the I could put like 10 feeds, set the cron job to act 4 times a day, with a max of 2 posts each time, and I'd be good to go.

But if it also updates when people visit, i would be trouble, because I would be getting 100's of posts from all the feeds i add.

Im in the same boat as well i personally dont like Caffeinated Content either. If your blog topic is video related then WP-Video is awsome, thats the only auto blog plugin i like so far.

Uniqie Article Wizard just doesnt bring in enough articles depending on ur niche.

Iv done some research and found Content Kahuna its free to signup and supposodely you can get articles from that automatically something like Unique Article Wizard, just look it up on google.

Also i dont know if any of you have heard about WordpressDirect i dont use it myself but was looking at the sales page and it seems to have some killer auto posting tools but the membership is way too high and plus i just want those plugins. Wondering if anyone has these

actually i installed autoblogger + wp-video on a new one I just launched, and it seems quite nice and clean so far. Only problem is it doesn't post full articles, but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. I mean you still get a great deal of content once it all stacks up, and you're following the "rules" as well because you have a link back, and you aren't posting full articles. Should work well I think (hope). Plus the videos give it a nice touch.

what kind of experience have you had with wp-video? what amount of posts/day was optimal, and what kind of traffic did it bring you?

wp-o-matic + writeagain!!

you only have to use your brains now...
and yeah.. dupe content is a myth i agree,...
but when you are duplicating content on that large amount, precautions are better...

It works fine for me.

What is do is create about 10 categories, and i will pull 50 posts for each category and set the posting period for 1 year. This equates to 500 posts over the course of 365 days.

Then when the domain is up for renewal a year down the track, check to see if it's still indexed and earning it's keep and renew or drop it. If i renew i go pull another 500 for the next year.

WP Answers is automated once you set it up. All you do is install, activate, and configure the keywords you want to search for and what category you want the post to appear in and at what intervals you want the plugin to search for new posts and post [you can humanize it as well]. It only uses yahoo answers though. Still a great plugin.

i like how CC produces the final result and truly "makes" the scraped content your content.

But i'd also like CC going out in frequent intervals more like a RSS fetcher, and always fetch current items.

One problem:

I get more and more blogs every day, and usually i schedule CC to fetch for 2 or 3 months. So....comes february i have to go to all my blogs and start a new "fetch".

RSS is more transparent - i actually dont have big issues with Feedwordpress, i have some trashy blogs where i only use FeedWordpress and i get "ok" amount of traffic/comments on them.

As it looks, there is no perfect aublogger plugin since each one does SOMETHING i dont like. RSS is cool, yes, but i really want full-text.

i have wp-answer,ezineposter and youtube2wordpress i have them in my /public_html but i dont know how to edit them. anyone know?

your meant to have it in public_html/wp-content/plugins

Am sick of all those plugins , I want something that postthe whole article not only some few lines from the rss feed

Believe me, you want Ultimate Content Fetcher if that's what you are looking for. It pulls entire articles based on keywords. Very nice plugin and definitely worth the low price the author asks.

Please DON'T go easy on us bro... I am reading everything I can on scraped content and it looks like i'm going to have to shell out the bucks for the ultimate content fetcher. I can't find another plugin that will work!

I'm the owner of UCF and I'm not associated in any way with anyone who made a comment about my plugin, so the reviews are honest (many of those members are a way older in this forum than me)

There are many autoblog plugins out there, and I think some of there are pretty good. About UCF, I made it having in mind only a personal use, because I was tired of CC (like many other people), and the result was good, so I decided to sell it. This is probably why people like it, because it does what many other plugins claim to do.
