I have a generic question:
How much copies do you sell from your books in one month (kindle, paperback etc. combined)?

I have currently 4 books (quality, 110-250 pages, pro cover, interesting non-fiction topics) available on Amazon, I spend the last 2 years with learning to market these books, and I reached fairly good results.
But now I feel I struggle to step over 100 copies (combined) per month which still means only 200-250 USD in royalty before taxes. Not a good income for daily living but at least passive.

Do you have any experience (suggestions) how to scale up Kindle-Paperback-Audible in long term?
I want to act smarter in the next two years.

Hi

About to get back in to Kindle after not touching our books for a couple of years, we have 10 books live but only 5 make any real money even after years of doing nothing with them they still bring in around $80 to $100 not a lot but its pure passive they used to make more when we pushed them.

Have you tired adding your books to draft 2 digital ? they open up a lot of markets for books as well?

one thing we did learn while doing books was you have to be active all the time build up your social media + forums its one of the first things we did before even writing a book the more places you can advertise your books the better

We found good was writing a series of books on the same top or niche so if one book is selling it will help the second book get sales

hope this helps some

Some years ago. They weren't as good as now, but I think Amazon exclusivity in terms of KDP Select with 70% royalty still worth to keep in there.

I could understand that. My second book in the same niche almost received as much sales as the first one with half the length (only 120 pages).
My 3rd book different niche. Well, I'm struggling to push the sales. It seems I need to start marketing from scratch.

I've got around 40 books on Amazon. I've found that this really isn't a classic passive income source. The sales are always good for a while and then they tail off. My books are mostly fiction and I will say that the nonfiction books sell better long after they were written. Maybe nonfiction sales are better long term.

It sounds to me like your books are doing okay. I know it's obvious to say, but writing more books would probably be a better plan than promoting your older books. You might try writing a few shorter books in the same niche. I think short reads and even cheat sheets can still sell well. Best of luck.

Do you do any marketing on your books or just post them on the platform and hope for the best ?

Most of my books are on Kindle Unlimited so I get the free days after they're published. The only other thing I do is buy the B.K. Knights gig on Fiverr. It's great to get a good push on one of your free days.
