So I'm into scraping expired domains within my country to use for either my $ site or PBN

I've found some sites with a handful of links from inner pages from the biggest sites in my country

The problem is, they have zero metrics when it comes to TF/CF/PA and I'm a bit confused how to interpret the power

Let's say you have links from:
    The Wall Street Journal
    The New York Times
    Washington Post
    etc..

But all the links are coming from deep inner pages or even subdomains, how powerful are these links?

No no, the links are coming from inner pages but they point to the root domain

The links are potentially not worth very much. That being said make sure you check your site with both "www" and without the www. You will get different metric numbers depending on which version the previous owner used.

Although not as good as homepage links, inner page links still provide some juice. I would take it if they are from solid domains

If they have links from those bigger sites, just buy it. You can rebuild the website and use the redirect option to benefit from it.

Well would love an answer from someone experienced :)

Guess I'll buy the domain, put some long tail content and see where it lands in the serps

dude it's 10$. Put content on the website. It doesn't matter if it's from inner pages those sites are known for not linking to random domains and google respects it ofc they are worth it. It's not like you'll get direct homepage links from big news websites lol

While you may not have site wide metrics, if the internal links are coming from heavy duty websites, these expired

domains may be well worth it.

If I were you I would dig a little bit deeper.

I would focus primarily on how specific the link sources and content type are in the overall niche of the domain.

    First, this isn't always possible.

There are certain domains that attract backlinks that have a wide diversity of niches and categories.

However, do the best you can in finding niche-specific link sources.

In my book, the more niche-specific the overall collection of backlinks a particular domain gets, the more valuable that

    domain is.

This is true, even if you don't have specific metrics.
