As the topic says: A manager at an authority site asked my if they could publish some of my articles - with links back to my site.

I know Google knows who published the article first, and it won't be a problem to get my articles indexed before they publish it. My biggest concern is duplicate-issues.

So my question is: is it all good?

Its good if its an authority site
Links from authority sites bring trustflow and authority to your blog
Not to mention traffic

It`also gives you authority as a writer
You should mention this in your Bio

But what about canonical-tag? If they outrank me on Google on the keyword in the article, then they "steal" some of my organic traffic(?)

If you have published first check your article's crawling and index status.
And if you are getting link from authoritative domain, it may help to boost your keyword.
Are they providing same services as yours?

If I were you, I would write guest post with same quality for them. No content issure, more people to know your name and a gr8 backlink

offer him a rewritten version of you content.

Content syndication is fine, the biggest concern is that the site you are syndicating to is a quality site. Here's a good guide: http://searchengineland.com/syndicated-content-189097.
Thanks for sharing.

I will ask them if they can use a canonical-tag - and if not, i'm going to decline their offer. Thanks for all the help in this thread.

OP are you serious ? Let them publish your article. Duplicate content and all that shit doesn't matter if you are getting link from authority site.

Yeah I think you should let them publish your article.
I mean, you said that it will be linked back to your site so there's the chance to get more audience.

I wouldn't even worry about the duplicate issue. If that matters offer to have the articles rewritten.
