They had be worth way more than the actual money tbh. I had work on building a solid portfolio nd aim for securing client from companies like finance or PR who require the legitimacy.

you’ve got a strong asset already the credibility and portfolio that come from writing for major publications I’d use that to build a personal brand offer premium writing/consulting services or create your own niche publication/newsletter where you can monetize the audience directly

Use those bylines to grow a strong portfolio. Try pitching to better paying outlets. You can also sell ghostwriting and content work. Or help brands as a consultant. That kind of credibility can matter more than the paycheck.

I’d build a strong portfolio around your best pieces and use it to pitch better-paying freelance work in a specific niche. Longer term, a newsletter could also help you build an audience you actually own instead of relying entirely on publication salaries.
in reality, it is ur byline that holds value here. i would construct a small personal brand out of it through newsletter, niche site, or even writing consultancy on a paid basis. in fact, utilizing ur articles to get higher paid private clients might even prove to be more lucrative than directlly monetizing the articles.

You can create a medium account and write there in order to get paid. Alternatively you can also create a blog and write and gain money from there as well if you monetize it well.
