    About Auroracoin

Auroracoin is the new currency for Iceland.

Developers are encouraged to create tools for Auroracoin to support the adoption of Auroracoin. Such software, e.g. for payments, will help Icelanders start using the currency in their daily lives.
I call on the cryptocurrency exchanges of the world to accept transactions with auroracoins.

The prospect of the adoption of Auroracoin in Iceland is likely to create a price and value for auroracoins before the Airdrop. A higher price may in turn increase the likelihood of the successful adoption and use of Auroracoin by at least a part of the Icelandic population.

Seems like a pretty good investment, will be widely used in Iceland and has a nice purpose to it, it's not just a Litecoin clone....

I predict catastrophic failure for investors that choose to get in on this. The whole thing just screams "stay away" in my opinion.

It seems that the new trend for now is creating a new coin.

How can a coin rise 300% in value in one day when all of them are decreasing?

Yes I can see that, but I mean doesn't that increase some huge flags for the buyers?

There are lots of coins that pop up and die within weeks. Others have a purpose. This coin wants to substitute Iceland's currency, it's pretty interesting, especially if Icelanders truly adopt it, it could gain lots of value in a short time. Therefore as others put it, we get speculation.

Avoid this coin unless you are an expert in altcoin bubbles.

Here are a few red flags:
    50% premine? Fuck-That

"Delivering to everyone in iceland" (rolls eyes) yeah right. Like the 70 year old grand mother that still tries to rewind their dvd's and thinks that the internet is just email and facebook is going to use this coin

There is no official backing from iceland on this coin. With this example anyone could make "alt-coin-name-here" pre-mine 50%, claim that Africa is adopting the coin, create hype and then dump the 50% that was pre mined on the stupid sheep buying into this mess.

I own a ton of alt coins. even ones that are pretty much dead in the water and that nobody heard of but ANY alt coin that is pre-mined especially at 50% is just another hype coin turned to trash coin

edit: I won't be buying this coin even if it was worth 1 penny per 10,000.

The Airdrop is live! Currently 4.3% of the coins have been distributed to Icelandic citizens!

I just have to laugh seeing all those idiots buying yet another "shitcoin". Who cares what that coin is. Another name, another waste of money. "Oh I'm a genius, I pay with Auroracoins". What? What coin? Say again, please? :D Pff...
