Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best time to stop using FL on an account you've been growing and start everything manually (posting, replying etc etc). 10K, 20K....100K?!?!

might be 100k but if you're not growing fast enough organically then there's no point in stopping

This is true but won't using a bot with an account with a large following draw attention to yourself from Instagram or doesn't it really matter?

you can set it up in such a way that even at 1k it will draw attention. it's all a matter of how cautious you are

i say never, just use snail settings like 200-300 follows a day or less, long delays. Once you have 100k+ your followback ratio is high so even if you only follow 300 a day you would still get 150+ followers in return, probably more

That's fair but from my point of view, i'm using a bot to increase the following on an account that i'll later use to setup my own business from and use that exposure and engagement to generate sales. So using a bot wouldn't be the best idea for this, don't you think?

Why would it be a bad idea? It's great for scraping users that might be your potential customers later on and it is not time consuming at all.

I think it's a great step to make.

I usually stop using a bot once I reach the 50k mark and when I find a good network of people where I can exchange s/o's with in a certain niche.

Other times, I let it go up to 70k or 90k and stop there.

Shoutouts right now are not translating that much into traffic in comparison to before. Instagram new algo has the ability to control the traffic being sent to your profile. Why? To make it a "need" for you to pay for their ad service that should be launching shortly.

Look at Facebook? You have an option to pay to promote your image to your existing fans... how crazy is that? Why would you have to pay to promote to people you already worked to get to follow you? Thats the same strategy being implemented into instagram now. A very low percentage of your followers on IG see the image you posted. Thats why the more you post the more traffic you get etc... Its not like before, and the criteria is getting more strict.
