Associated Content - accepted article

Hi, I submitted my first article to associated content and it got accepted
however I don't think they paid me any $ for it. The email they sent me and their website says nothing about an initial payment for the article. It does state something about paying per 1000 views, however I thought I would get paid for writing the article aswell, does anyone know about this?

How can I do that? is it when you submit the article? there was only one option

maybe they don't like international

Upfront payment option is only for US .
