    I believe this company just tried to psychologically induce me into their affiliate network.. Not even kidding around. I was searching around on their website after finding a UK lead on OfferVault.com, I clicked on the "Visit EWA private network" button, top right of the small paragraph they have on that page.

    And this is the part that fucking weirded me out so hard. The fucking word OBEY flashes for a split second on my screen. Did this company just try to mindfuck me or am I going crazy? Can anybody else confirm this just fucking happened? I feel really personally violated haha (but seriously).

    They use the word OBEY a lot so I wouldn't be surprised they put that on your screen. A little unprofessional if you ask me though.

    lol classic! I was thinking of overlaying some semi transparent text on my adsense sites that would say 'click click click click' real subtle like. However I am concerned that you be against adsense tos so have yet to try.

    LOL. Are you not aware who owns EWA? Ever heard of BLAMAds? Ryan Eagle?

    Completely unaware. I was kind of curious to the succession of this technique, has anybody tried it? It'd be amusing to test, but I can't see it being successful at all.

    As requested:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(function(){

     if( $.cookie('obey') != 1 ) {
       setTimeout(function(){
      $('#overlay').css({'display':'block', 'opacity' : 0}).animate({'opacity':.5}, 100);
      $('#obey').css({'display':'block', 'opacity' : 0}).vCenter().animate({'opacity':1}, 100);
      setTimeout(function(){
      $('#overlay').animate({'opacity':0}, 150);
      $('#obey').animate({'opacity':0}, 150, function(){
      $('#overlay').hide();
      $(this).hide();
      });
     }, 200);
     $.cookie('obey', 1, { expires: 7 });
       }, 2500);
           }
      });
     </script>
    Code:
    <div id="obey" style="display:none;">OBEY</div>
    and the CSS styling for the OBEY:

    Code:
    #obey {
     font-family: Helvetica, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, sans-serif;
     font-size: 300px;
    font-weight:bold;
     color: #fff;
       z-index:9999;
        width: 100%;
      text-align: center;
      position: absolute;
       top: 10%; }

    It's because of the cookie script.

    Subliminal messages are how "mind reading" experts work.

    Yeah, the JS shows how it throws a cookie at your PC once the message is shown, if the cookie's already there, it won't show the message again. This technique reminds me a lot of communist Russia for some reason.

    It would be interesting to see if this method is truely working. This company looks quite shiny and from the source code, it looks like the owner isn't doing too badly, the website is clearly made and designed by programmers or web designers, and the web graphics also reflect that belief. Perhaps this is a test by the owner himself, perhaps this is soething pretested that works efficiently. Anybody think it would be a good idea to test this Stalin-style blackhat technique?

    Never join small companies that broker offers from other networks...

    For EWA its even worse , all of them are affiliates too, so as soon as they find a high converting offer they will run it themselves, they use affiliates only for testing new offers or mixing their BH, rubbish leads with genuine affiliate leads

    Thank you for the review, and yeah I would never join a company that outrightly shows it's BH-liness in such outright ways such as subliminal messaging, they can't be trustworthy if they're trying to subdue their own clients this way! Shocking tactics.

    Ha, I guess it's self righteous because it's a BH forum and I'm talking down on his tactics, but they're outrightly shocking. I mean trying to use mind influence, you don't think that's a bit far? Props to him if they work, but it's just the lengths this particular individual has gone to to subdue a customer which make me think it's really shocking
