I bought a couple hundred blog comments and it seems now I have been banned by askimet. which sucks cause I recently stumbled on some good blogs to post on.

is there a workaround to this?
    tinyurl?
get a new domain and do a 301 to the banned one?

any ideas would be greatly apprecaited.

feel free to PM me if you want to keep it on the DL (down low, low key, hush, quiet for those offshore) lol

    thanks in advance

Are you sure your ip isn't blacklisted?

Didnt realize Askimet actually banned domains, that seems a bit counterproductive, mind you so does permanent ip bans.

it should be ip bans. if you bought those comments, you should go find the person who did it for you.

whether your message is considered spam to askimet depends on your ip, comments and the owner. even if you get a unblacklisted ip and did your comments properly,if the owner doesn't like it, he can still report it as spam.

Would this account for a mass loss of backlinks to a website?

Change your IP or wait a minute, I think the ban is only like 24 hours and is usually by IP first, then by domain. Also in the future make sure if you are posting quickly to vary your anchor text (name) and e-mail as well and change your IP every so often and you should be fine. As the above person noted if askimet is enabled and you get marked as spam a LOT by many different blogs that also leads to a temp ban of your domain which is why you shouldn't make spammy comments, they don't get past moderation anyways.

use a url shortener but make sure the service uses a 301 redirect it should say in the faq page and then you can just blast the shortened url and you should be fine.
