I know how difficult the keyword DOG FOOD is. Assuming the on-page SEO is 100% perfect already, can anyone give me an approximate quote for SEO to make it rank in top 10 results in page #1 on google.com ?

    allintitle:3,710,000 results and
    allinurl:3,340,000 results
    "dog food":28,500,000 results

I'm watching this thread whole day to see someone's reply.

Adwords traffic estimator tool shows it will cost $13k/day to run an ad for this keyword but they'll pull more from your credit card than what they show. So no wonder if someone quotes you $10,000 or $750,000 to rank a site in top 10 for this keyword. But the main question here after the panda and penguin update is will it Rank?

I just did a deep analysis of all sites ranking in top 10 and I must say that all those sites got very huge domain authority, dmoz, yahoo directory and what not. A domain called "kriskris" has tons of link farms, xrumer spam and backlinks from private networks.

Where does the site currently rank? How old is the site? If its on the 1st 3 pages already then you have a snowball chance of getting it to the #10 spot, if its a new site forget about it, find a new keyword.
