I know nothing about paid traffic but Poor traffic 'may' be a factor in my site being stalled at #4 (all other metrics are better than competitor at #3) ..... so in my Google Analytics I noticed traffic coming from 'webbottraffic.com' which links to SigmaTraffic.com offering 6,000 hits per month for $10 - you can apparently adjust time on site, pages visited, bounce rate etc, etc.

QUESTION: how does Google consider automated paid traffic? does it help SEO or does it actually hurt it? This is a eCommerce site built with blood, sweat and tears so I do not want to jeopardize it - just trying to improve SERP position and am checking out every angle.
If my site went from organic traffic of less than 1000 / month and it got a boost of 6,000 / month wouldn't Google react adversely?

I am also trying to increase traffic via FB ads but bounce rate is terrible and adversely affecting overall bounce figures.

So looking for opinions / experiences / suggestions

cheers

@shags38

The risk of automated paid traffic is that Google can disable your account. It's the downside of this SEO tactic, regardless of its advantages. However, you can consider these tips on how you can add more traffic to your site. You should use an HTTPS site. Another tip is to make your website mobile-friendly as it can also boost traffic on your site. Moreover, landing pages and long-tail keywords are also significant factors.

Just don`t.

If you and to improve the bounce rate send them to a blog page with interesting stuff related to your products. Assuming you sell football boots make a blog post saying: 5 things you didn`t know about Zinedine Zidane! Then promote the blog post.
