There were a couple of threads about this over the weekend, plus a Fiverr arbitrage download. Do a search!

The key is finding something that takes 10 minutes or less to do. anything over that and you start working for peanuts.

    OK, that's fair.

Seems like the people who make the most money do so by selling information or things, like an eBook on how to do something, or a plugin or piece of software that they have license for. As far as labor goes, if you can't do it in under 10 minutes, then it's not worth it. For example, if you had a large Twitter or Facebook following, you could sell a promotion Fiverr where you basically just have to send out a couple of Tweets or a Facebook message. You could do that (or have someone do it) a bunch of times every hour (not considering the fact that you would be exhausting your Twitter and Facebook followers).

Stuff like that. Don't do anything that takes an hour.

I understand there's money in Fiverr if you use the gigs as an 'in' to potential sales marks. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to market my gigs without an established social network following to begin with; I'm offering decent services and getting no bites.

Yes...most succesfull gigs is abot Twitter, Facebook and SEO. If you have 10000 followers you can have many orders :). I made almost 40$ for making logos / photo retouching.

@MokaLatte, can you put up a link to your Fiverrs? We can probably help you rewrite the description and tag it so that you get some bites. Another poster mentioned pinging the gig a bunch of times so that it appears at the top of the marketplace.

I had an SEO-related Fiverr that I actually had to pause because so many people ordered it. It was supposed to be a loss-leading product that led into further services, but I found that people just kept buying the Fiverr over and over instead of transferring to higher-priced services. So, I would agree-- the Fiverrs based on social media are the easiest ones. You would probably just need social media accounts that you used only for marketing purposes (not saying I advocate this, but this would be the only way to sustain this on a long-term basis, if you know what I'm saying-- your regular friends and family do NOT want to hear about other people's stuff all day long).

hey man you can't give up......its the wrong attitude. you know slot machines are programmed so they assume after you lose alot you will bet less? its the same in life, don't let your natural instincts take over, keep trying you'll find something that works!

fiverr seems interesting i'm thinking i'll create a social network acc (maybe a page on facebook) and then offer blasts over it like you guys suggested....seems really easy :]

Yeah, those are good ones-- I am ALWAYS looking for people who can help with graphic stuff. The key to that one is providing good examples of your previous work so people feel confident hiring you.

I don't know if I'd offer article writing for $5 unless you can outsource it for even cheaper or if you were getting the content from a scraper, in which case you wouldn't be likely to get good feedback.

Social media seems to be the thing that works best, unless you're trying to use Fiverr to get more high-paying jobs in the future.
