I've always been able to create fanpages, without having to create an actual facebook account by clicking the "Create a Page for a celebrity, band or business." at the bottom of facebook.com

As of tonight, I can't do it anymore. Everytime I try to create an account, it tells me that I need to select "male or female", but there is no option for me to select the gender.

Here's a video of the problem i'm experiencing...

This is quite a monkey wrench in my plans. Anyone have any idea how to bypass this? Any help or insight is appreciated.

Try clearing your cookies and cache. Sometimes when you forget to fill out a form the old values persist in your cookies or session.

Thanks for the suggesions guys, but I'm pretty sure it's not the browsers or the cookies. I've tried all the browsers, even obscure ones, and the same thing is happening on them. I've tried deleting all cookies and clearing cash... no difference.

Are you guys able to create new business accounts, without this error occuring?

Thanks for letting me know. It seems like there's something going on with Facebooks end. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope it's resolved.

I have the same problem and keep on asking me to choose Male or Female and there is no option for me to choose that.
But it was an option of login with existing account, and I did it with my personal FB account, then, they let me created the business account.
So, here you have it. Yes, you still can create a Business Facebook account, but must link to your personal FB account.

Ugh, I really hope that's not the case. These stand-alone fan pages were crucial to my strategy.

I wonder if there's maybe a way to port over the Male and Female radio buttons from the regular Facebook sign up page...

    HTML:
    <div class="mtm _5dbb"><span class="_5k_3" data-type="radio" data-name="gender_wrapper"><span class="_5k_2 _5dba"><input type="radio" name="sex" value="1" id="u_0_5"><label class="_58mt" for="u_0_5">Female</label></span><span class="_5k_2 _5dba"><input type="radio" name="sex" value="2" id="u_0_6"><label class="_58mt" for="u_0_6">Male</label></span></span><i class="_5dbc _5k_6 img sp_ezjerk sx_1b83e2"></i><i class="_5dbd _5k_7 img sp_ezjerk sx_80f204"></i></div>
I tried taking that ^, and pasting it into the "Create a new business account" form w/ firebug, but the same problem persists.
