I want to at least actually do some work in Affiliate Sales rather than read all day about it. Now, when I promote a link (via articles, blog posts, forums, yahoo answers, etc), is it better to link to a blog that is set up to look like a standard website where my affiliate link will be, or do I actually make and host a website? I want to do this whitehat, but I read somewhere about people being able to run WHOIS if you make and host a legitimate website. I'd rather not let people see information- blackhat or white hat, you run the risk of someone being an ass and I'd think it's better to be cautious. Thanks everyone.

    hi,
if you're a newbie, then i would just simply buy a domain and forward it to the main page. it's better to host it yourself so you can check the statistics and finetune your marketing. hope that helps:)
