    Hey Guys,

im currently using Instagram, Snapchat (not many friends), IMDB and musical.ly and im thinking also to use a video platform (like youtube) or doing my own website with content and promote that directly. Im looking for the fastest growth (thats why im not using facebook directly, because their algorithm is so strict and the reaches so bad).

In any way im thinking where to invest money into followers, likes, services here on BHW to make the best bang out of the dollar spent. The goal is obviously to get noticed to a large audience and to agents and production companies / directors.

Definitely focus on Instagram alone and building a fan base there for now, you can get followers using "Subtle shoutouts"
IG ads are also very effective in the "instamodels" niche so I think it would yield same results in your case? Also do you have fan pages? That can be good for getting your name out there.

    Actually building characters.

Thanks, im just worried about their algorithm. Im thinking to use third party apps, something to drive the traffic. I already have fanpage of famous actors, some have 1000 followers already. Also having orbiter accounts, who are reposting my content to the main account where i do unfollow/follow and like a lot in the niche. What do you mean by subtle shoutouts? I will try IG ads, do you mean the hashtag instamodels or is that a category?

Thanks - is backstage like imdb? Are you more visible if you have more followers/votes? Is there evn a thing like that?

There is a case to be made here for not focusing on all of them and focusing A LOT on one. Instragram and tumblr are the two I would recommend for an actor, particularly if you're a good enough looking one haha

I know you're looking for more networks, but instead of spreading across a ton of networks, it might be better to dig deep into just a couple. By all means, create profiles pages on the others, but perhaps direct people to the networks you actually want to focus on. You'll be able to create a much more authentic and effective campaign if you're not spread across so many platforms.

What you're trying to do will probably require the amplification of your message by your followers, which means you'll probably need to do a lot of interacting. I couldn't imagine trying to manage meaningful interactions across 5 or more platforms. At that point, you start to get into automation that a lot of your average followers might look at, but probably won't spread your message.

Just my 2 cents from another dude on the internet. Good luck to you though. I hope huge success for you. Oh, and if you do get famous, please don't tell everyone about SEO. The last thing we need is more people getting in here and screwing everything up, hahahaha.

Thank you for the kind words. Im going to focus on Instagram and looking into Tumblr then. My girlfriend is pushing her IG with Tinder. Anyone has experiences with this? She is getting a lot of followers, but her engagement is kinda shit and stuck at 1% (100k follower account).

Something is not right it her engagement is that low. I'd be looking into why that was the case and get that fixed for starters.

She is a model, but targets people from another country on tinder, because they follow more. She actually made a course + an "exam" with a guy, who teached her this.

Ever seen an IG post of a good looking guy/girl with the caption "omg who is he/she! Can someone tag him" that's what a subtle shoutout is, it will attract those scrolling down more than a caption that says "go follow this dude @" plus it won't make you look desperate because almost everyone on IG now knows that "go follow this dude" is a paid shoutout, I hope you get what subtle shoutouts are by now.
As for instamodels, no I don't mean the hashtag, I meant that I've seen wannabe instamodels gaining massive followers in short time using IG ads.

What is the genre "actually building characters"? What does that mean?

Since actors are, you know, generally pretty visually-oriented people, then I'd agree to focus on Instagram and build a following there. The problem with IMDB is that people don't look for you unless you're already somewhat well-known and they want to "find out who that one actor in that one movie" was. At least that was what I used it for, when I did.

    Good luck with it!
