Well I am a senior marketing major at my university, and I am wondering if it would be a good idea to include a bit about what I have done online, but I am not sure how to word it.

I mentioned an understanding in SEO n stuff but I am wondering if I should include my previous job experience as CPA advertiser for Maxbounty.com

What is everybody's thoughts on this?

    Of course man.

Think of it as backlinking. Employers are always looking for diversity ;)

yeah wording it could be tricky because not many people outside of SEO and IM will have any clue what you're talking about lol :D

I'd say to make it simple to understand, like you were teaching someone the basics of SEO and IM. Don't get too detailed unless they ask. Or you can just get super detailed and try to get a higher salary lol :D

You can add it. In fact, it will add weight to your resume. Be creative and particular when you explain SEO and other networking activities because if you're joining a NON-IT company, then these might sound as jargons for them.

    Cheers :)

i am an employer of marketing majors, and yes I would definitely want you to include all and any experience you had with online stuff.
What exactly did u do? I'm not sure I understand. you were a paid search manager at a company? wouldn't you just put that in the past work section of the resume?

Other tips I can give are: in hobbies do not put travel!!! 90% of people do this and are retarded.
Customise your cover letter, say stuff like "I see that you have xyz as a client" or anything that will show in the beggining that it is not just a mass email out. Job applications in marketing are about quality over quantity. Find yourself 3 places you like the most and find out as much as you can about the company, call them and pretend to be a client if you must. This stuff will really show in your cover letter and interview.
