    Hi all,

i am just starting with articles - i placed one testing article on articlesbase, one on hubpages. They were both more or less optimized for different long tail keywords.

Both were indexed by google in about a day and appeared on first page for their keywords. Then they both dissapeared completely from SERPs. I started to add some backlinks to it, it has been 15 days already, but these sites are still nowhere to find. I think this is the "google dance" phenomenon.

Based on your experience, how long could it take till these articles will be back as they used to be (or even on better place because of niche related backlinks)?

    thanks

The usual time I have seen is about 3-4 months, but I've normally never had my articles just completely disappear like you did, so I wondering if it's more than just the infamous google dance.

Well, it has been 14 days, i added some backlinks and my article is on page 2 in google for 12,100 broad global monthly searches keyword. Now i think i just have add more and more niche related backlinks to get to the top...

Another question: can it happen that my article will disappear again now? Or it usually happens just once in the very beginning?

New content could appear un very good ranking, then, some days after , when this information is not so "new" it disspaers.

The second time you see your article well indexed ussually stay here for a long time. Sometimes suffer some changes(Google dance" but in my experience stay in that position untill you make it go up.

Ok thanks for explanation. I hope i can be on the first page as soon as possible.

Number 3 in SERPs for my keyword is 3 years old article placed on ezinearticles with 0 backlinks...also 2 ehow.com articles are on the first page, almost without backlinks. So i hope it is beatable :)
