Hiho,

I am about to get started with the Tier1 for an authority page for which Ive been working for a rather looong time. It is almost 100% optimized, couple of things to retouch and its good to go.

I will start withe the first tier either tomorrow or the day after (had it planned for tmr, but i guess i need to take 1 extra day). I will be doing the usual, web 2.0, PR, edu, blogs, etc.

My question (it is my first time ever doing any type of SEO, so apologies if it sounds stupid):

Whenever I submit articles to sites which let me include a video link, can I include a youtube video? Can this video contain promotional material (meaning can it contain a person mentioning my website?)?

Thanks in advance!

Reyone,

You might try looking at the particular submission site's TOS but it would seem that it doesn't matter if your video contains promotional material. This would be more of a policy enforced by the actual video host (i.e. youtube) than the submission service. For instance VImeo does not allow promotional type things in videos (i.e. phone numbers, links to websites, etc.).

Hope that helps,

Shawn
