Article Marketing vs PPC?

I am just curious on this one - what do you find as more efficient? Here is my opinion, I have made 1000's of dollars a day with PPC from affiliate programs working a maximum of one hour a day, like maximum no more than that.

When I used blogging, article marketing and other so called free traffic methods I barely made anything and spend countless hours in front of the computer. Just tons and tons of writing, research, posting back links, etc. Doing dirty work in general without getting results that excite me.

Have to say I just fucking hate all this time consuming work considering the returns and having to continue to work that much to get more returns coming in, so if I stop posting mass amount of articles, blogs, and backlinks, the return stops. With PPC I get sales no matter what without doing as much dirty work and worrying that I get deindexed by Google or Yahoo.

Now you get my opinion, I fucking hate article marketing and the whole concept of free traffic, especially knowing that I made twice as much money with PPC than those I heard of or heard rumors that did the blogging thing. Also with doing twice as less work.

So my question for you, especially for very high earners, what do you find more efficient and less time consuming, PPC or article marketing?

this might be stupid question, but are you monetizing your articles or are you just using them for indexing, backlinks and seo? If you're working with all of these articles you should be monetizing them with adsense no?

I did monetize my articles with AdSense, and still the return wasn't as fantastic as the commissions from Affiliate programs.

What I mostly did is write a product review page, and used articles for seo to rank that page for a specific keyword. So I did rank it, it stayed there for a little while, got a little bit of sales and then got shafted by competition because I got sick and tired of posting so many back links. The whole concept of constantly adding stuff to my blog was making me sick too as all the stuff I added distracted the buyers and if I didn't "refresh" it it got deindexed.

What I find funny is with all that work the return is miserable(even if it is $500 a day, with PPC it can be over $2000 and one hour of work). Kind of like working a full time job with very long hours.

Two completely different methods.

A good SEO'd site could bring free traffic for years to come and is more a longterm venture whereas PPC is more like a quick fix.

Who do you think makes more money

The person sitting first in Google for "cheap car insurance" or the person paying $10 per click for the same traffic??

Hey this is I assume if you have a traditional business. As an affiliate I got better returns by profiting from a whole ton of different niches. Never did want to use seo fpr a very long time for one specific keyword.

They both have their places. Use a combination of PPC and SEO and you'll do good long term.

Yes agreed, if you were to combine the ppc & article marketing i believe you'd do soundly.

Think of it, if the foundations you'd set up when you sat in front of the computer were good, you could be using that traffic now to help subsidise your ppc costs thus allowing you to always step up a gear.

use both. they are both 2 completely different yet effective methods.

if you use a combination of both, you'll do very well.

and if you want a fast results..then you might as well use only PPC....

It's easier to jump ship to a new market when you do PPC. You must get bored the other 23 hours a day. Start a blog over something you like, like PPC marketing, and link to PPC products or come up with your own ebook and market it through CB.

If I made $2,000 a day, I'd either be happy as a fat cat eating lasagna, or creating a website or e-book and sell the idea for even more cash.

I hate the way people make things seem so easy sometimes. I wish some people would just tell it like it is and say that making money takes hard work and ingenuity. Although some people get away with just being related to rich people or knowing rich people.

I don't think anybody would be here on BHW if they weren't looking for a way to make some money on the internet...

PPC can be very expensive if you dont know how to use it properly.

$2000 a day with PPC, and I wouldn't so much as even look at another blog again... White hat blogging sux.

I make 6 figures a year, but I like to be here because I like to keep up what's happening in the market, get some good tips to keep improving my skills, and help others where I can. I know there are tons of guys here making more than me easily.

Making money online does take hard work, but it's by far the easiest job as far as I'm concerned. And it can be predictable to a certain extent. Meaning that when you follow a certain formula, you can expect a certain result. Then you just scale upwards from there.

Think about it, if you spent 8 hours a day(like you would at a normal job) on working(and I mean really working) on your online business, you'd be making a very nice monthly check.

even if you can only work a couple hours a day, you can still make a nice monthly income. when I started out, I was working 2 jobs, and putting 3 hours a day into my online business. Within 2 months, I was making a steady $3-4K a month. I quit my job after month 3 and put all my effort into my business. Now I only work a 3-4 hours a day on average. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

The point is that it does take work, but your hard will pay off if you work at it and treat this like a business.

its all about stability as well

For instance i bet there were people doing SERIOUS cash with Acai and then when the fad is over so is the $$ .. always looking for a new fad!

For instance i was probs making close to $500 per day with video sites and Sidereel traffic spamming the shit out of it with a bot.. then all of a sudden the started banning zango/cpalead and started using capchas! All of a sudden them earnings were completely gone!

Now i have around 100 streaming sites all doing very well in the serps that earn me around $300 per day with no work at all! Took a bit of time to get them there but happy days now!

well...article and PPC both rules....PEACE LOL
Each has its own advantages and disadvantges.

Well first of all everybody has different financial goals. And I have to tell you it took a lot of time, pain, persistence and desire for me to get where I am.

Do I have everything perfect? Absolutely not. I still do make mistakes and have days that I am so stressed that I just want to shoot myself. To some degree my fault as I love black hat methods just too damn much.

Irrelevant of what you make it is a great idea to keep learning. And by the way if you look at the big picture in modern life even having as much as $5 million a year in income is not that much(depending on your standards of course ). So you'd better raking in as much as you can as it is well sick to rely on somebody else(a job I mean) to pay your bills in current "fantastic" economic times. You know what I mean people. LOL.
