I've definitely used article marketing in a lot of my SEO campaigns. Quick links with anchor text, and relevant content on the page. Makes sense to me.

Matt Cutts from Google is saying differently. Watch the video to see.

I'll probably continue to use it in most of my campaigns, but it's interesting to think that it might not be as useful in the future as it is now.

Just do it. The idea he say is lots of people will copy your articles and these links could be from low quality sites and not help much in your SEO strategy.

But I don't know too much people good enought to have their articles in thousands of sites if don't put by himself...

Do your unique quality articles and you'll have one quality link forma a great site, if that's your idea, this still working very well as now.

But if then you make hundreds of copies of it...well perhaps this copys don't help you much

After Google's new algorithm changes, I would like to meet Matt Cutts in a dark alley and have an aggressive link building session with him. My Auto Blogs have dropped 80% in traffic.

I think this silly don-quixote-alike is just wishful thinking out loud , he's been doing this a lot since he started to get a feeling that people are really listening to what he is saying and acting according to it... those are probably the same fools who believe that seo start and ends with google seo guides :newbie:

I only believe what I see on my SERP monitor and so should everyone else, BUT because I genuinely see him as an 'enemy' ,intelligence is very important so i must confess that i'm a subscriber of his rss channel :D

So what about pure article marketing?

You know. Where you don't have a main website, but instead rank a bunch of articles from Ezine Articles and ArticlesBase for your keywords, and direct link to the product page.

    Is it still possible?
