I've been trying to place a photography company higher in Google's SERPs. My link profile is quite imbalanced (lots of blog comments) so I'm looking into article submissions.

I have written a 300 word article about the wedding photography business and placed a link to the photography company's site in the bio box.

I have submitted it to ezine and goarticles.com.

I am going to submit the same article--not reworded--to the following directories manually:

    GoArticles
    ? Propeller
    ? Yahoo MyWeb
    ? IndianPad
    ? Slashdot
    ? Reddit
    ? SpicyPage
    ? Folkd
    ? Sphinn
    ? Dzone
    ? Swik.net
    ? AutoSpies
    ? Searchles
    ? WireFan
    ? Hugg.com
    ? KillerStartups
    ? Care2 News
    ? ActiveRain
    ? Shoutwire.com
    ? Humsurfer
    ? Thoof
    ? PlugIM
    ? Sk*rt
    ? BallHype
    ? Lipstick.com
    ? Listible
    ? Links.Hubspot.com
    ? Blogmemes.net
    ? Plime
    ? BlogHop
    ? Socialogs
    ? Kinja
    ? DotNetKicks.com
    ? BuzzFlash
    ? OnMyList
    ? Marktd
    ? Millions of Games
    ? Protolize.org
    ? RealEstateVoices
    ? Pixel Groovy
    ? Beta Marker
    ? EzineArticles
    ? Idea Marketers
    ? Article Dashboard Directory
    ? Easy Articles
    ? SelfGrowth
    ? UnArchived Articles
    ? ArticlesFactory
    ? Article Alley

    Sound like a good plan?

Not a good plan at all. If you submitted to ezine and goarticles at the same time, chances are that goarticles will approve it fast and ezine will bounce it for duplicate content.

When submitting to ezine, make it a 400+ word article that is unique and you will be in better shape.

Goarticles accepts duplicate stuff so you can submit almost anything to them.

I personally wouldn't bother submitting to all those other sites but others will say differently. I submit to ezine, then rewrite the article a dozen or so times and post on web 2.0 properties with links to ezine, my money site and the other web 2.0 properties in a random fashion.

I would social bookmark a few of the higher PR site links once you submit them like ezine.

Also, there are some more higher authority web 2.0 properties out there that you are probably overlooking like squidoo and the like. You are better to get the article on 10 of the highest traffic sites than 30 mediocre sites.

Also, a link wheel would be helpful too. There are services here where they will spin the article and submit to a hundred blogs and other sites. They can be very powerful.

I would suggest not to use the same article for all article directories.

Anyone care to remark on the TOP 10 highest sites to submit? I am about to submit an article as well.

Great suggestions here theleadsource. Thank you. I've been doing article marketing for a year and did find that 400 plus word unique articles were in better ranking on ezinearticles.
