Yes, I am aware that a good portion of people from BHW didn't watch Arsenio Hall back in the day, but if you are one of the ones who did, post your thoughts about his come back to TV. I personally think it's a great thing, and will attract quite a few people, both returning viewers and new ones. He had stellar ratings on his opening show.

Hopefully it keeps up, which I am sure it will. But it's a different world now, with Twitter, and so on. I wonder how he will fare in "The New World".

    Thoughts?

    You're right.

In addition, as I mentioned in my first post, I wonder how he's going to handle the "extra talk" on places like Twitter and so on. How many times you hear about people having Twitter fights and so on...so, I wonder how he is going to navigate through all of that.

"Early ratings are limited in reach, and don?t include total viewer totals, but they show that Mr. Hall clearly made a dent on Monday.
In the 25 cities, ?The Arsenio Hall Show? averaged a 1.0 rating in the important category of viewers between the ages of 18 and 49.

That rating was bigger in those cities than Jimmy Kimmel on ABC (0.8); Jay Leno on NBC (0.6); or David Letterman on CBS (0.5).

In addition, Mr. Hall?s overall rating of a 1.9 almost doubled what the stations in his lineup had averaged a year ago: a 1.0.

The numbers are evidence that Mr. Hall, 57 and nearly two decades away from late-night TV, can still pull in some viewers"

It was opening night, so, it was expected to be a huge number. The key is, whether he can continue it. I remember Conan, over at TBS I think it is, pulled in some nice numbers from the beginning, but it dwindled down over time. Not sure what they are at the moment.

So yeah, I just hope he can carve out a nice piece of the pie for himself. He def. is different than the other late night hosts, as he dove into some pretty heavy topics back in the day. He said he won't change his show much from before, so.....I am expecting a lot of "explanations" as to what he meant, via Twitter posts. Mark my words.

AH is back? I hope they bring back "In Living Color" from the same era. Used to love that show.

I had to watch again and still as funny as ever!

Maybe a reunion special, filled with some skits from before, but I don't think it would have much legs nowadays, IMO.

Not sure if your post is "legit", but I will answer it anyways. Arsenio was DA man back in the day, sidekick to no one.
