Aren't you feeling the FOMO with all this AI craze now?

Na, just relax and keep building connections with people. #NoFomo #SocialLove

Hi. As a newbie, I was going to launch a niche blog, but most of people say, informational blogs especially evergreen contents are going to die, due to Chat GPT and Google Bard. Do you believe it makes sense for a BIGINNER to launch a niche blog in the AI era?
thanks in advance

but most of people say
That's the biggest issue in life if one starts believing in everything that is being spoken.

Unless you take action, it doesn't matter if something works or not.

Same set of people have been saying SEO is dead/about to die for years and years.
launch a niche website in the AI era?
No issues with that it works and will continue to work.
Everything evolves with time if tech evolves we will also have to adjust accordingly and evolve.
Everyone starts as a beginner.
After 15 years I am still learning new things and I am a beginner/newbie there.

It won't die but yes it will evolve and not be same.

Stop watching these clickbait news and videos there are a lot of worthy resources you should be concentration on if you are looking for a way in online money making.
Having patience is the most important because it often takes time for results in online money making process.

Thanks for your answer . So you're saying that blogging with evergreen content is still viable. Right?
Blogging with any niche any content type is viable.
Provided you have done your research around the niche properly.

I'm feeling a combination of FOMO, stress of the dangers of this type of technology in terms of taking over money opportunities, excitement at the possibility of me making money with it and fear for the near future ramifications of the "dead internet theory" where we're not even talking to people but "AI" bots that will relentlessly push certain agendas depending on what individuals or groups are using them.

I'm just using it all for content - I love it.
Hopefully Google will love it too...

If you're going to start it with publishing AI content non-supervised, then you'll have the same chances split among the other millions doing this.

If you're going to add quality content (can contain AI but must be proofread, edited, optimized, etc) then yes, although harder to break in than 5-10 years ago, the sooner you start the better. You just need to keep at it as success takes time, especially with SEO.

As for myself, yes I'm feeling the FOMO too, but hopefully I will catch some of the trains so to speak. It just needs to be proactive.

It's not fomo I'm worried about it's the fact that the bar to entry has just got so so so much lower.

I was paying for and pushing out so much content (spending 5k a month on article writers, not I only pay a Filipino $500 per month to do cgpt for me).

Content creation is becoming worthless. Written content is pennies now and video content (which doesn't feature locations) will be soon.

Nope, because it's massively overhyped. To be honest, the ones making out the best in all this are the media and people making YT or social media content about ChatGPT or claiming they can sell you some course on how to make a bajillion dollars a day with it.

OpenAI needed a viral hype train to get MS to move fast and invest more money into them and it worked out great. But it's so overhyped.

Even GPT 4 which was a bajillion times bigger than GPT 3.5 and was going to turn into Skynet and take over the world while making you blueberry pancakes and giving you a nice foot massage has turned out to be marginally better than 3.5.

Don't get me wrong, there's good uses cases for this stuff but it's mostly in businesses training their own models with their own data and using it to improve their operations (which is what OpenAI and MS are actually selling here and not premium accounts for random people looking to generate articles and code that doesn't work half the time).

Don't believe the countless YT videos and social media posts from people claiming they're making tons of money with ChatGPT. All they're doing is trying to make money off getting you to look at their content.
