There are a few Youtube videos ranking above my site, and I was wondering whether they could be "pushed" down so my site gets up, or are Youtube vidoes naturally just #1 for gaming niches?

For example: Ratchet Clank gameplay (No, this is not my keyword)

Google search it. See all the Youtube videos? These even pushed a Wikiepedia page all the way to 6-7th position. So my question is, are they beatable?

Quite a lot of videos.... that is why a lot of people are making videos now. You could easily create a video and have it on the top, like they do.

For that keyword.. you'd be lucky to get to the top with a website.

Lol videos don't convert and if you try anything funny they just remove your video. They're pretty strict nowadays. And I DO think they're beatable. Any other opinions?

youtube videos have millions of backlinks.... unless you can get more links than those millions of videos....or have an exceptional site with perfect content...you're not going to rank better.....

You can but....lets just say you're better off making a video for your keyword...and helping that get views so that you can advertise your site on the page/video...works :)

Everything is technically 'beatable'. As far as practicality is concerned, you'll want to take a look at the video's link profile before you go spending too much time trying to outrank it for the respective keyword. In the case of gaming niches (especially when the keyword phrase contains "gameplay"), I think YouTube videos are certainly going to be hard to beat. If I search for "Halo 4 gameplay," I want a good video in as few clicks as possible. That's what search engines are trying to capture.

You are right, videos don't convert but they drive huge chunks of traffic for your website.
If you are hosting you tube videos on your wbesite and having a good video Sitemap you can conquer the serp result rankings.

If you don't want to create your own videos, host some popular videos on your website with due permission.

Videos don't convert? I better tell Clickbank to stop sending me checks. Depends what you're doing with them. If it's just a boring sales video, then yea - I'm sure conversions suck. If you actually show good info that solves a problem of some sort, then they work just fine.

If you have a video that's aged and has a ton of views, then it's gonna stick and be hard to knock off. Let's take "Ratchet Clank gameplay" - I see "Ratchet & Clank PS3 demo gameplay" as my #1 video. Uploaded in 2007 and has 153,006 views. If you have a video from 2007 with more than 100k views, it'll rank on the first page for almost anything. Even if you managed to push 153,000 views to your new video, it'll still out rank you because of the age. Typically I can rank a video for a nichey keyword with around 2,000 views.

Notice the third one "Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time - 7 minute Gameplay Video [HD]" has 203,913 views, but it's from 2009.
