I am curious to know how many of you are still buying link packages and such.

With this new Google update coming, who on earth knows the link attribute that will be dropped? Nobody.

This brings me to my main point. Do you trust that these link pages are worth the money right now? Of course it will bring you some more backlinks, and possibly authority, but how much will these packages help?

Are you looking into the future? What if something HUGE changes in the backlink world?

Will these packages end up not as useful as the ones we should see coming up? Should we save the money for when the SEO Masters figure out how to boost SERPS again after Panda hits?

Everybody says these packages are Panda safe. Are they really? Maybe the previous panda, but how can you be 100% sure that Pandas next update wont change that?

I guess nobody really knows, and I am not trying to spark a "SEO IS GONNA DIE AFTER THE NEXT PANDA" thread, however I am asking you if you are buying link packages still.

Just curious on every bodies input.

Yeah, I am still buying them

google will keep on making updates, that doesnt mean we will stop doing effort from our side

After all, if we stop, who is going to lose?

Well of course not everybody will stop.

My worry is that if I do buy a package now, when the new panda hits, (Which is said to be somewhat soon, correct me if I am wrong) will I still have that power that it provided?

Should I just wait until Panda releases, to buy all the new and improved for the new algorithm packages that come out?

Saving money is different from fighting a war with Google!

This is why you diversify. Panda isn't going to totally shitbomb your rankings if you've got several different things you've done to boost your rankings. They aren't going to penalize every single SEO tactic out there at the same time. Am I worried? No. I'm buying several packages a week and still intend to do so. :)

    Awesome.

That's good to know. I am assuming the packages we all buy here are pretty diverse. I normally only go for packages that provide a variety of things. I like to keep things looking natural.

Packages do tend to change though, which is why I am wondering if I should just save up, and wait it out.

Some people claim to specialize in these things after the updates. "Panda Proof" packages and such. "Fight The Panda" packages come out to counter what google has just changed, and it makes me wonder if techniques and methods greatly alter.

I'm just assuming new and improved packages will arise to help our SERPS rise more than they would if we bought these currently available packages now.
