Yep, I just caught wind of this one. This could be a real pain in the ass. They plan to target merchants specifically, which means a lot of us here.

    Check this out:

Well, I certainly didn't know about this. At least I'm not an eCommerce website owner.

I'll be the first to say it. I know we're all thinking it...

    SEO is dead.

    Pack it up... head home...

The way of how Google is releasing updates is showing that they're not able to "combat" all the SEO techniques, is normal, I've said it many times they can't backfire against all the SEO methods that are on the market. Let them come with more and more updates :)

Just another way to get more people into their paid ads so they don't compete with Google Checkout.

This article looks like any article about Google updates, they just change the name of the Animal (Schema.orh and Google autorship...bla bla bla). And why the hell is the writer using G.O.O.G.L.E. instead of Google...it's fucking annoying.

One more thing, all these SEO related sites are full of shit, telling us what we have to do...yet, you can buy links there. How about I report them to Google with all the proof I have so we can get them sandboxed so we stop seeing their moronic articles on BHW?

Google is rounding up the sheep for the slaughter. They have a well structured plan to make sure that if you are seen in the search results you will pay advertising fees.

Thanks for the information and the article does make good reading - however I am not sure that it is a "Kiss of Death" just yet. After all Google likes to watch us die slowly". Do I run an e-Commerce site - ummmm not really as I run a price caparison site and just take the commission - however the site lacks quality content - lacks Schema - Lacks Authorship - Lacks Video - No company Policy - Apart from that its a great site......I have now just shat myself and will be working all week-end to get this completed......

Nothing is changed and SEO certainly isn't dead.

    The article just says that:
    1. you'll need to have a properly designed and UX friendly e-commerce website
    2. offer useful information and content for your products
    3. make sure your site looks good and loads fast

It's something you should already have or be doing if you run a successful online shop.

That article sucks. Written by a sub-literate idiot. He's an agent from D.U.M.B.A.S.S. (yes I'm a Marvel Comics fan).

Actually I'm not. I'll wait until someone that is not a dumbass writes an article about the Zebra update.

Google is just releasing these updates to better the search results but the MAIN REASON Google is releasing these updates is to look busy for their shareholders which I completely understand. After all, the busier you look the more the investors will keep investing more of their $$$$$$$$. ;) Smart move by Google. Nothing going on here. SEO will continue as usual. Keep it pushing.
