Are you guys experiencing slow sales as a result of the holiday season?

I started a Clickbank site back in July. It did alright; I got a few subscribers to a recurring monthly service and I'm still getting regular payments from them. But I noticed my sales have stalled. I've been doing more SEO work and whatnot, but my sales are still slow. I haven't had any new subscribers for about two months (although fortunately, I've still got a few)

Do you think this is because of the holiday shopping season?
People are probably saving their money to buy presents, not spending it on Clickbank... And Clickbank products are not typically something you'd buy for someone as a gift, I don't think. I'd imagine the Amazon guys are doing great though.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Well I'm not only getting less sales in the last week, but an astounding decrease in hops. So I would say yes

Maybe it has to do with people buying physical presents for others, and not having as much money to spend for themselves

Yeah... I'm getting ALOT less sales. I was thinking CB was just stealing my sales lol but what you say does make a lot sense.

I think alot less people are on the internet too. Wrapping presents, Christmas parties etc... I usually get 30- 40 leads per day in my niche, today im on 11. Will all pick up again soon :)

Interesting to see that I'm not the only one with a drop in sales... Thanks everyone!

Do you think the kind of products you sell are the kind that people would buy as a gift? Some products just aren't that type...

My sales did really well for december, its proper christmassy-gift type of physical products, end of november until just before yesterday, things have been really looking up.

hopefully after christmas things will be picking up since everyone got a bag of checks and have no fresh ideas on what to spend them on.. that's where we all come in :D

The holiday season is traditionally slow (specially in the digital products markets) though it also depends on your niche. The same thing happens around the summer holidays as well (around June).
