I am thinking of getting 100mbit u/d connection since it has become available where I live.

If I do this I could make another dedicated server for uploading and stuff so it would only encode and upload. It would be alot more cost effective to make another dedi at home and run it once I had the fast internet vs paying monthly for meaty hardware from a commercial provider.

I always felt more comfortable having a vps in some far away place when doing copyright related stuff but is it a moot point? I mean is it any more anonymous using an offsite vps vs a good nolog vpn provider at home?

I very much doubt anyone would be chasing me for uploading however if I scale up I always think the more exposure you have the more liklihood you would piss someone off, even though it still might be a drop in the ocean I like to have peace of mind with these things so I can fully commit.
