For example I have a twitter account with over 40k real followers. I want to sell them a product/products from CJ. I remember in the past when I would use bit.ly to shrink their affiliate link when I clicked on it a warning showed up. So my plan was to redirect using my website but have a 2 second refresh until it went to that link. That way twitter didn't keep giving people that warning page.

Is what I am doing allowed on CJ? Would my account get canceled for doing this? Thanks a lot.

If you have to ask permission to cloak I don't think cloaking would even exist.

Exactly but some CPA networks that I know tell me honestly that you can use to cloaker btw OP I don't think CJ allows cloaking also if you are looking to use a cloaker then opt for a good one...

I think that there is no problem with cloaking CJ aff links.

You can cloak any link without any permission :) contact mrblackjack

Well, that redirection should work, it doesn't get any problem but using bit.ly, bitly has banned clickbank links and many other links, that is why you see the warning. So it is not twitter or affiliate who creates the problem, so you can do it.

Yes I know CJ, Clickbank and others give a warning when clicking on a shortened link using bitly or any affiliate link. But I am not doing that. I redirect the link using my website then I shorten that link using bitly. Like I said I use a 2 second delay and so twitter doesn't know where the link is going and hence no warning.

My question still is will CJ ban my account from doing this? And has anyone else done this? Thanks.

I read some of the other sources to know more about it if they allow or not, and got mixed response, some users are reporting that it is not allowed and some are saying that they are cloaking the CJ links and using it without any issue from years. So, I think it would be better if you ask directly to CJ's support team.

I've cloaked CJ links no problem with my own cloaker, and done reasonable volume on them too.. with zero issues.

But I guess it will be down to your traffic source as to whether your leads are poor or not, before they decide to boot you off the offers.

It is not CJ that would be the problem but the individual advertiser. You want to speak with that affiliate manager about cloaking. I doubt there would be an issue asI have cloaked links with different CJ advertisers in the past but I have always explained my situation before doing so.

Shoot the AM an email; remember they want to make money just like you do and they will try and find a way to make it work 99% of the time.

Nothing wrong with cloaking links.

CJ accepts any kinds of methods (not spammings) to promote products and services but it all depends on the advertizers. Not all advertorial networks are acceding to such requests as it may be detrimental to their reputation just because of an affiliate doing inappropriate actions without consulting them.

Kudos To You,

Yup, try Tinyurl. I always use them for CB and they also allow you to make custom URLs like tinyurl dotcom/myname
