Alarming! its getting severer.
No. Not more than I am scared of any other virus, lol.
A big lie coranavirus
But as I say that is just the confirmed cases from people tested coming back from infected countries or presenting themselves at hospitals.
China have now virtually got it under control with just 19 cases a day now down from 40 a few days ago.
Then you have the regional variation, which again is only people who have actually been tested and have it.
Wuhan had a mortality rate of 5.8% whereas other areas of China have a mortality rate of less than 1%.
Yeah it's crap that there are probably thousands of people with no symptoms transmitting the disease, but the fact that these thousands of people don't and possibly will never know they've had it skews the mortality rate massively.
They believe there could be over double the reported and discovered cases world wide which means if these people were all discovered and tested, confirmed accounts would immediately at least halve the mortality rate.
For instance South Korea are actively testing thousands of people per day and not simply just recording reported cases.
They have so far discovered 7,500 people with the virus, a lot of who are displaying zero symptoms and have 54 deaths.
This gives a more true picture of the mortality rate which doesn't just account for serious cases and places it at under 1%.
@CPApro You really want to believe in your below 1% don't you? Buddy up with Trump, he'll love you
Being optimistic is fine, but don't make up your own numbers. They don't correlate to the real world, they are false and unhelpful.
Just like I think the current numbers are unhelpful though mate.
As time goes on and more people rather that the seriously ill are tested the mortality rate will drop.
In the early stages of any outbreak the mortality rate is always a lot higher because mainly only really ill people are discovered and confirmed.
As testing becomes better and more widespread the rate will drop.
Like I said, yeah it's a shit virus but it's not as bad as the media are portraying.
Edit: My numbers aren't made up mate they are from reputable sources and direct quotes about the WHO being factually true however misleading since they don't account for the thousands of people who have it and just get on with their life.
The average age of the deceased people in Italy is 81. 86% of them had more than one chronic illness.
Most of these people would have died anyway probably very soon.
There are unlucky ones obviously who were healthier/younger, but this happens.
I had the chance to get a very serious pneumonia from regular flu, despite being healthy otherwise, and I didn't take my flu lightly. It still happened.
You think 5 years of smoking is nothing? Good luck.

As I've read on several sources(feel free to google, you will find this on many reputable sites) smoking itself isn't mentioned as something that increases the risk.
Coronary heart diseases, diabetes, and most importantly a weakened/comprised immune system are the main risks. That's why it's so dangerous to the elderly, and shows exceptionally low mortality rate in younger people. Kids are very rarely affected at all.
Really looking forward to not dying. Not now.
That graph is old news for a while. Look at the table, no country below 3%, and this is confirmed by WHO, which doesn't make up numbers. Scientists have been to China to come up with a 3.4% death rate. We all wish/ hoped it was less.
This won't be any close to 1%, let's just stop dreaming.
I worried about economy against a backdrop of coronavirus
Everybody scared , except from those ho don't understand what it is, it is natural
Everyones gotta die one way or another, sooner or later. If its corona thats going to take my life, so be it. I'll do my best to not get infected, and if I do, I'll be sure to not spread it. I'm not going to sit and be scared and traumatized about it. Because in 300 years from now, nobody is going to care how you died, unless you're Elon fucking Musk or something.
Careful with those numbers, Italy has more than 3,000 in ICU, most of them 50 to 70. That average is a great number to throw out to avoid panic.
It's obvious now this virus hits the elderly hard, but making this comment "Most of these people would have died anyway probably very soon." is senseless and cruel.
It is your truth, no matter how you want to call it
This has been studied and proved in China we weren't just seeing 'the tip of the iceberg' as it often happens in initial virus outbreaks. It was proven most cases were detected and the 3.4% is sensible, it's not bogus.
If you're so optimist why not saying only 0.0000001% dies, and only those 100+ years old with heart condition, diabetes, and lung conditions.
Have you ever had the flu? Ever had a cold? probably right? Then don’t worry. If you do have underlining health problems. Bad immune system. Older like 70+. Overweight sure then you cna worry and take extra precautions. Other than that just wash your hands keep your hands away from your face best you can. Don’t stop living. As 99% of you don’t have a plan. Don’t have the same skills as a prepper. So In the end even if you stock up and stuff you have nothing after you run out. Even money won’t help if economical crash happens. Let alone just worry about a flu lol. You’re about 5 years to late. Learn how preppers do it and then maybe next event you will be truly prepared
