    Hi,

I'm in process of searching niches and making some websites to bank from them. I'm looking to make MNS for adsense and affiliate marketing with amazon.

The question is if you are afraid of competition and how do you determine to take a niche or not? Are you afraid of niches with EMD's and autorithy websites like wikipedia?

How to determine if a niche is good or not to take and rank for it?

    Thanks a lot

Previously IM used to be difficult for newbies and a cake walk for the experienced pros who knew how to drive quality traffic through SEO and also PPC. With google evolving, it is now more of an even playing field, the newbies with good content and knowledge in the niche can very well out rank an SEO optimized website.

Don't worry about the competitors, just focus on your micro niche site and do the onsite seo and basic link building you should be good.

  3. Competition will always be there, and there is no reason to be afraid. In most situations, if there isn't any competition, there isn't much money to be made. You simply need to work harder.

If you are afraid of it, you'll never succeed. You got to face it, there always will be competition. If there isn't any, there will be, so you must be prepared for anything. Never stop building backlinks and adding content even if you get the #1. If the site is making you good money, invest 30% of them on the site (for articles and quality backlinks). Your competition will be afraid from you.

Yep as many already mentioned, content is king. Additionally make sure you use diverse back links.

Thank you guys! I'm not really afraid of competition but I want to hit a few bucks per day soon, I mean I don't want to wait 6-12 months outranking competition to make a few bucks. Content will not be a problem for all of the micro niches. I'm planning to add lot of articles in the first month and then I will drip feed 3-4 articles per week.

The thing is that I'm thinking how I will beat my competitior if he is doing the same as me. I've made some keyword research in the last hours and I'm seeing some EMD's in top 10 from keywords with 2000 local monthly searches and I'm really confused on what to pick and what not.

Thank you my friends! Your replies helped me.
