Not sure why, but as I set up a couple CPA campaigns I can't help wonder if we are scammers as bad as the Nigerian guy.

I don't know about other people, but in my IM campaigns, the straight marketing effort never works. If I were to post a straight up ad such as come here and look at these weight loss products or insurance offers and buy one, they hardly every convert. I always have to have a little trick or spin to convert the guy and that usually is promising something that isn't quite real. I guess thats why its blackhat and I should have tucked my conscious in the closet before I joined.

BHW isn't half as bad as the name suggests, maybe CL or google will get pissed but most of the people that will sign up for offers aren't really that worried about it because they get what they want for the most part.

& anything they dont gets spam filtered :D

or they are not losing anything, for example email submit, doesn't cost them a single coin.

unless they are going for acai or other offers which gets them to pay 100's behind their back.

Don't worry, you're a spammer not a scammer, but if you're stealing other's money and wast their efforts... that's bad.
in most cases, people submit an email or buy something because they need it or like it. and we reach them with blackhat or bluehat methods..., we offer them something .. and they do what they prefer.

Yup, were all scammers here. It is simply the corrupt nature of internet marketing. Those "white hat" marketers with their review pages of FAKE REVIEWS on products they have never even tried, aren't much better than us either.

Well its true they aren't losing anything except a few minutes of time, but they aren't always getting what they want either.

I guess in the end although the user may be ultimately disappointed, the money is coming from the advertiser and they got the lead they wanted, even if it wasn't a very good one.

I totally agree. If people don't have any interested in it, they won't click it. If the click on it, there is some interest-so they do want it for the most part. Nice point!

    Happy to be a scammer?
    I'm not.
I think that we can be rich from IM, by using BH or WH techniques ..
but not by scamming people.. this is an other case.

we are scammers no matter how much we try and dress it up by calling it black hat. dont get me wrong people will not sign up for free trials and dating sites if they're not interested in them but at the end of the day we lie (you can call it manipulation if you like).

And dont say that all it costs is a few minutes of people's time, we get paid from networks so in the end someone pays for it.

Not being negative its just that i think sometimes we try to use fancy words for what we do to justify the things we do. we con people into doing stuff for our own ends because thats one of the easiest ways to make money. some of the things we do are borderline fraud other just unethical (iframing, ewhoreing, etc).

We dont make people sign up and buy stuff, that's true, but we tell lies in order to make money.

That said, i've made more money since i joined BHW than i ever made before joining the website so thanks BHW for helping me make bank cos even con artists like me have bills to pay. :)

To make u feel better, its a dog eat dog world, let me show u the food chain, Advertisers have this thing at the bottom of the page of there landing pages that says some to the effect, after your free trial is over u will be charge full price without your knowledge and we don't have to ask u because just u trying the free trial u agree to let us charge your card next month for 29.99 SHITTY RIGHT!

But the advertiser doesn't give a damn about them, customers call to cancel, they still get charged, customers say they don't want the product the advertiser says fook off u got our free trial, customers can't fight it with a charge back cause mastercard and visa doesn't allow u to chargeback on subscriptions SHITTY RIGHT!

Now the CPA networks come to us for leads then put handcuffs on us, so we can't use CL, kajiji, myspace, facebook, etc because they wanna use those social sites for there self, SHITTY RIGHT!!

Now when we come up with a way to beat the system to earn some good money, they ban our accounts and keep all the money, knowing damn well the advertiser paid them for the leads we sent, but because of there so called TOS this is another way for them to make money in a unethical way.

We are not scammers were just animals like them, survival of the fittest.

    SHITTY RIGHT?

Sure we are. But we live in a world where there are are two types of people. Takers, and askers. The askers never get anywhere. They always want to, but they can't because nobody will let them. Takers, on the other hand, create their own riches and wealth, because WE DECIDED TO DO IT. We didn't ask anyone. So, what I'm trying to say is, yeah, we scam people. 100%. But to me, that means I get to live in a world where I am not completely miserable. I'm not worried about paying rent this month. I'm not worried about feeding my kids. For me, the trade-off isn't even anything to flinch at.

Besides, we (at least in America) get scammed 24/7 and most of us don't even notice it. Do you think we pay $3/gallon for gas is a coincidence? What about the cost of food at the store? Interest rates on loans? Electricity? All of the prices that we pay are calculated. It's not necessarily what things are really worth. It's what we can afford. Our entire system is built for us to work as hard as possible, and then to turn around and spend as much of that money as we can, on necessities like food, shelter, fuel, and communications.

In a world like this, I don't think twice about making money off of people I tricked into signing up for things.

Am I justifying it? Yeah. Am I rationalizing it? You bet. Do I feel wrong for taking advantage of tools that most people have access to, to make a better living for my family? Absolutely not.

At the end of the day whitehat, blackhat it's all the same. Both methods are either selling people shit they don't need, fill out shit they don't need to fill out, clicking shit they don't need to click or encouraging them to do shit they don't need to do.

Marketing efforts should all collectively be called greenhat!

I'm a fan of white hat businesses because of the long term stability.

But BH methods are just so damn fun to think about and try. lol we are kind of like the dudes in Ocean's 11 (finding creative ways to take from the big networks and succeeding) ;)
