Does seem a bit ironic to me that people always talk about wanting greater digital privacy rights and protection, a limit on the control and influence of big tech and support for true open source projects, when a great proportion of these same people religiously use propietary AI solutions, especially ChatGPT.
Even government agencies notorious for surveillance and espionage have warned the public not to feed personal information to it as the way it can store and process this information is so obscure. Other county’s have gone as far as banning the technology outright.
Can we really claim to be advocates for small business, free markets and greater rights and control over our data whilst also relentlessly empowering big tech weaponry which all but eclipses such ideals?
