I figure it should probably be aloud, but maybe ebay just wants everyone to use their messaging system instead.

Anyone know? I couldn't find any info on this. Thanks!

I have tried to post my aim and msn in several auctions with accounts that have 200+ feedback and they took down the listing, but you can put the full address and say you will only receive an email from this (example@msn.com) any other email is a scam (a way to disguise what your really doing) and say I'm always online and you can instant me.

That always have worked and the posting stuck

please hit thanks if it works for you

automobile sellers post their phone #s in their auction listings, I'm not sure if it is allowed only for eb@y motors, and if aim and msn is allowed.

I think there was a certain rule change that allowed for contact info as long as you're not trying to funnel buyers to make a purchase from other than eb@y.
