are there truly free stock photos anywhere???

    Looking for a source of truly free stock photos to be used in custom blogs....is there such a service actually out there??

    getty images - sign up and login then it takes the water mark away.

    click on a pic and it gives you a bigger thumbnail - more than sufficient - big enough for me to use as my main pics on my sites

    Lots of stuff on flickr is published under a creative commons license so you can use it how you like. They have a good keyword search facility and there are several WordPress plug ins that will pull stuff directly from flickr.

    you can buy a cd for like 20 bucks on ebay or pay a membership and have unlimited stock images from shutterstock.com

    I was just taking stuff from flickr today and it has RSS feeds as well so you can use WP-o-matic or something similar to leech photos. Some of them even have descriptions and can make for pretty good blog posts. If you want to find a whole section of photos make sure to search under "groups".

    I just use istock photos with watermarks in them and I leave it to my customers to deal with them.
