I've come across numerous guides/methods for driving free traffic (one example is meathead's Amazon thread) but I've rarely seen any guides/methods for paid traffic (even in search). Are there any good threads here that explain the methods of using Taboola (or other paid networks) for driving traffic?

Search bar has some journey threads from people doing PPC. Also, go to LukePeerFly and ViperChill.

They have some good case studies on using PPC to make money.

Download some spying tools too like SpyFu and track what competitors are doing

My rule of thumb is if you see an ad appear a lot of times using Taboola and similar sites, they tend to be making a positive ROI.

I was thinking about combining meathead's Amazon method with paid traffic. Create an Amazon site then instead of using forums to drive traffic, I use paid networks such as Taboola (or if there is any other that is easier to use).

Not sure if that'll work. If you're thinking of selling an Amazon site as an asset, you'll need some sort of organic visitors from SEO, social media etc. If you rely heavily upon paid traffic, I don't know how that'll play out with the flipping of the site since costs are higher and profit margins are lower.

Consider the fact that Amazon commissions are quite low so if you sell low priced products in the <$50 range, you'll be making around $1 - $3 per sale and that's if they convert.

Sorry, I neglected to mention that for the time being the objective isn't to flip it. The objective is to make money with it (and learn to make money with PPC). If this site keeps making a decent profit every month, I'll be okay with not selling it for a long time.

don't use amazon that'd be plain stupid.

Go for Mobile CPIs and Mobile Billing Content. They're the best. Do not ever go for sales unless you have 6 figures budget

Otherwise it's really nice also to do fb ads building various email list.

Content Discovery Networks like Taboola usually do better with traffic arbitrage.
I suggest to go with the most reputable mobile networks (the ones doing the most money)
