Are random backlinks worth of buying?

It is very common that people sell a few contextual backlinks in high PR blogs for SEO purpose, but they are random link with keywords.

Is it worth of paying for such backlinks for the sake of SEO? Does it really improve my website ranking? Can you fool google by this common trick?

Sure it's worth it. As of now, unrelated links still work if the domain is a quality one.

I assume some time in the future Google will start taking this into consideration, but I still find a lot of websites ranking high that have links from unrelated sites.

If you want to get random links, at least make sure that they aren't spammy.
Check out how many external links that website may have.

I think it is worth of buying random backlinks. It will surely help you.....
 
yeah contextual is better but if the article around the link isnt related it's probably not worth getting.
