Are people out there making lots of $$ from Clickbank?

Hey Mancar, is that affiliates making $250,000 or vendors?
Mmm let s see...as of today there are 171 members in the platinum group. That means 171 people made at least $250,000 in sales in 2014 alone. So ye, there are a handful who are making a sustainable income with clickbank

I'm interested in what is the best practice with ClickBank, huge volumes of traffic or laser-precision selection? I would think combination with those two through organic traffic works best for CB, am I wrong here?

Both.
I even know affiliates in the platinum group who promote solely spanish CB offers (market is growing and affiliate competition is still low).

You see you find niche products with relatively low affiliates marketing them, while their products are in evergreen niches (sub niches of evergreen niches like weight loss and job offers).
The problem is you need money to make decent money. People aren't going to come to you in a overcrowded niche and just magically click your offers. People that use social media and make money are using proxies and bots (cost money) and making chump change. They offer no real value to their audience while they blindly pump them full of half ass pictures of sexy chicks or some stupid funny videos and quotes. The problem creates callous followers, ones who will be jaded and cynical because some idiot abroad tried to make a quick dollar so they can "pay bills" while watching tv or playing xbox and drinking their moms Ovaltine.
The solution? Make content for your followers, and you'll make money. Your hunger for a paycheck creates a loss of income you think you are losing for not being overly aggressive in the first place. The more the content is matched to your audience with high quality, the more money you can make selling brand items like t shirts, stuff you make, or even selling shout outs and ad spots to hungry advertisers.
