The risk with PBNs is higher. Google’s pattern detection is way better now and deindexing wipes networks fast.

I’ve been running both this year. PBNs can still work short-term, but they carry more risk than guest posting. High-quality guest posts may take longer to show results, but they’re much safer and more sustainable for 2026.

PBNs can still give short-term lifts, but they’re risky and getting easier for Google to detect. Long-term, real sites, strong content, and legit backlinks win way more consistently.
